Mr. Manoj Bahadur Shrestha, Chairman of Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) today inaugurated Bank's Barahabise Branch amidst a function. This is the 34th Branch of the Bank. Local business men, other distinguished dignitaries and Senior Executives of the Bank were also present at the inauguration function.
Addressing the function, Mr. Shrestha highlighted the current activities and achievements of the Bank during the first nine months of the current fiscal year. According to him, deposit base of the Bank has reached to the size of Rs. 39.63 Billion and loan portfolio is over Rs. 32.61 Billion.
Mr. Shrestha stressed that opening of Banks Branch in Sindhupalchowk district which is adjacent to the boarder with our neighboring country People's Republic of China is an important milestone from the perspective of valuable business that Bank has anticipated to get. He added that Sindhupalchowk district has ample scope for running agro based industries. He expressed it as an opportunity to serve the inhabitant of Barahbise and its surrounding areas to run the agro based industries with the assistance of its banking products and services.
He stated that Barahabise Branch will provide full fledged customized banking products and services to the inhabitants of Barahabise and its surrounding areas. It will offer special deposit products namely Himal Savings Account and Himal Remit Savings Account with Rs. Zero as the minimum balance, besides other types of savings account with attractive features suitable to different sections of the society. It will also offer Small and Medium Enterprises Loan to the enthusiastic entrepreneurs at a reasonable interest rate/charges for boosting the business activities and economic prosperity of the region. Additionally, it will also provide different types of business loans, consumer loan, letter of credit facility and other services like issuance of travelers cheque, bank draft, credit card, debit card, ATM and remittance facility.
