Nepal Tourism Board partners with American Express and Himalayan Bank to promote Nepal tourism

~’Experience Nepal’ campaign to promote Nepal as an international tourist destination

~American Express to be the “Official Card” during the campaign

Kathmandu, November 30, 2016: In a glittering ceremony today, Nepal Tourism Board announced the launch of ‘Experience Nepal’ tourism campaign in partnership with American Express and Himalayan Bank. The global campaign that aims to promote Nepal as an international tourist destination will be on till 31 st July 2017. American Express will be the Official Card for the campaign under this exclusive partnership.

Nepal Tourism Board will play a key role in the promotion of the program in various countries through trade fairs, offline and social media. Nepal Tourism Board will tie up with Nepalese Embassies in France, UK and Japan for a promotional program in the respective countries. Himalayan Bank ltd., being sole merchant acquirer of American Express in Nepal, will be bringing merchant offers across all categories for card members visiting Nepal.

As part of the campaign, Himalayan Bank will be bringing together more than 100 American Express merchant offers across categories to promote local flavours of Nepal. American Express Cardmembers will be able to avail exclusive offers across various merchants ranging from lodging to dining to adventure tour operators. Some of the merchants which are already associated with American Express in Nepal are Dwarikas, Buddha Air, Yeti Airlines among others.
